What would you do if you are in an airplane and you feel hot and stuffy? You would perhaps fan yourself with their in-house magazine at most, right?

A Chinese woman, however, did the unthinkable.

She reportedly opened the emergency exit for “a breath of fresh air” before the flight took off in central China’s Hubei province.

South China Morning Post reported that the incident happened on a Xiamen Air flight from Wuhan to Lanzhou last week.

Ooh, what does this button do?
According to the news portal, the cabin crew explained to her about the rules of sitting next to an emergency exit and told her that she shouldn’t push the button at all cost.

Of course, the woman, said to be in her 50s, touched the button despite being told not to do so.

The woman reportedly told the crew that the cabin was "stuffy", and she needed to get some fresh air.

As a result of the woman's itchy hands, the flight was delayed for more than an hour. The woman was later detained by the police.

Sigh, when will these people ever learn?
