If you're one of the many millennial who've always wished for a small wedding but know it's not possible because of family pressure, now is the time to get married.

The government has announced that weddings, and other large events such as feasts, religious ceremonies, reunions and more, are allowed beginning 1 July.

The caveat is that only 250 guests can be invited.

Also depends on the venue

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob made the announcement during his daily press conference on Wednesday (24 June).

The 250 limit will, of course, depend on the venue as social distancing will still have to be maintained.

Also, no hugging or even shaking hands are allowed during these events, which sucks especially if you're meeting your friends and loved ones after a long time.

On top the usual guest list, the organisers will also have to make sure they have a registration counter for guests to register their details and temperature using the mySejahtera app.

Make sure your guests are healthy
Don't forget the face masks and sanitisers as well, yeah?

Ismail said that buffet-style food serving is also allowed for now, provided that the caterers do the serving instead of self-service at the buffet tables by the attendees.

He also said that those who are not confident of being able to comply by the SOPs should not continue with the events.

"This is because the PDRM is still monitoring compliance with the SOP and if you cannot afford it, do not do it," he said.

So guys, will you be planning your weddings and other events soon, or are the SOPs too much to bother with?
