Are you constantly annoyed at all the chain or forwarded messages you get in your group chats or makcik pakcik bawangs always send to you?

No matter how many times you tell them that some of those texts are fake news from their friends, they still refuse to believe you?

Well perhaps this new messaging feature will impart some awareness in them and help them identify fake news.

Great move, WhatsApp.
WhatsApp has announced that they will be rolling out a new feature where users will know if the message they receive is a forwarded text.

The text will have the label ‘Forwarded’ at the top so you will know if the message is originally written by the sender or if it was copied from another chat.

So if you boyfriend sends you a long sweet message after this, you can now it's real or it's forwarded.
The new feature was introduced to curb the rampant spread of fake news among chat groups.

"We encourage you to think before sharing messages that were forwarded. As a reminder, you can report spam or block a contact in one tap and can always reach out to WhatsApp directly for help," the company said in a statement.
