It may not sound like it, but the amazing city of Dubai is actually an amazingly Insta-worthy city.

From pretty food pictures fit for ‘gram to the perfect backdrop for all your #OOTD shots, Dubai makes the perfect location for an Instagram shoot.

If you’re heading to Dubai anytime soon (you should, to be honest), remember to check out these places if you want to impress your friends with your Instagram feed:

#1 Burj Khalifa

Just check out the view.
We’re pretty sure you’ve seen plenty of pictures of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, on the internet, but the building is not the most Instagrammable spot; it’s the view from the top!

You can take an elevator ride all the way up to the Burj’s new observation deck called ‘At the Top, Burj Khalifa SKY’.

At 555 meters, it is currently the highest observation deck with an outdoor terrace in the world, so naturally, the view from up there is insane! Take a selfie from the top of the Burj Khalifa and we guarantee your Instagram followers will be green with envy.

If you want to see how the view actually looks like, check out episode one of 'Dubai Ultimate Challenge', a brand new reality TV series produced by AXN. The contestants, including two Malaysians, were tasked to take the perfect picture on top of the Burj Khalifa.

#2 Dubai Fountain

Let the fountain mesmerise you.
The Dubai Fountain looks magestic during the day , but at night, it turns into a truly magical place - and one of the most Instagrammable hotspots in the entire world.

Every night, the Dubai Fountain lights up with a beautifully choreographed lights and music show, which features 6,600 lights, 25 colored projectors and 22,000 gallons of airborne water. One picture of the Dubai Fountain at night and your Instagram page is set for life.

#3 Dubai Miracle Garden

Guaranteed colourful (and pretty).
If your Instagram profile is filled with pictures of flowers and pretty plants, the Dubai Miracle Garden is one spot you need to visit.

A flower garden located in the district of Dubailand, the Dubai Miracle Garden occupies over 72,000 square metres. You can find over 250 million plants and 50 million vibrant flowers in the Miracle Garden, so there’s plenty of Instagram-worthy spots inside the venue itself.

We can confirm that you’ll have plenty of material for your Instagram page just by spending two hours in the Miracle Garden.

#4 The Atlantis

Swimming with the fishies.
Want to make your friends jealous with a picture of the hotel you’re staying in? The Atlantis will do the trick.

Located at the crown of The Palm Jumeirah, The Atlantis is arguably one of the prettiest and most popular hotels in the world. Every corner of the hotel is Instagram-worthy: from the gorgeous outdoor swimming pool to the private beach, from the waterpark called Aquaventure to its bedrooms with a view of the Aquarium, as well as its underwater restaurant Ossiano, you’ll be spoilt for choice when you want to take your #OOTD pictures.

The Shark Safari at The Atlantis made an appearance in episode four of 'Dubai Ultimate Challenge', so keep your eyes peeled.

#5 La Mer Dubai

La Mer makes a pretty picture.
If you can't live without snapping pictures at the beach, the La Mer Dubai is a place you should check out.

Located between Pearl Jumeira and Jumeira Bay, La Mer spans an enourmous 13.4 million square feet of land. It comprises of four zones: The Beach, The Entertainment Hub, The North Island and The South Island.

Each one of these zones boasts their own Insta-worthy spots. Just hit up its open beach, its quirkily-designed but colourful cafes and restaurants, or one of its lanes filled with graffiti to spice up that Instagram account of yours.

If you want to see some of these places in real life, you should check out ‘Dubai Ultimate Challenge’, a brand-new travel reality TV series.

Produced by AXN, the series will see six celebrity contestants from three Southeast Asian countries (Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia) battling it out to see who will reign supreme.

Malaysia is represented by popular actresses Sharifah Sakinah and Siti Saleha.

During seven awesome episodes, the contestants will be put through their paces: from sky diving with views of the iconic Palm Jumeirah and ziplining through the high rises of Dubai Marina to souk shopping on a budget and cruising through the mesmerising desert.

With each challenge, the celebs must create the best Insta-story to win the episode. At the end of the series, the team with the most Dubai ‘pins’ will be crowned the champion and gets to choose a super fan to visit Dubai for free!

The show will be hosted by our favourite TV personalities Alan Wong and Justin Bratton from ‘Asia’s Got Talent’ fame.

You can catch a repeat of the show on Sundays, with back-to-back episodes at 5.40pm. It’s also available on YouTube and Facebook, if that’s an easier option.

Here’s a bonus: the Dubai Shopping Festival kicks off on 26 December and is celebrating its 25th anniversary with jaw-dropping deals all over the city, so there’s really no better time to visit Dubai than now.
