The first batch of the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro, the latest smartphone from the Chinese brand, has arrived in Malaysia last week.

A lot of people who got their hands on the latest Mate 30 Pro happily showed off the phone on their social media pages.

Adam Lobo, a tech enthusiast, also shared his experience using the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro on his Facebook page.

So, what does he think of the phone? Should you get one? What makes this phone so special?

Watch his review here:

Design and build quality

Firstly, he highlighted the design of the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro. The iconic ring on the outside of the four cameras -- which makes it look like an old school point-and-shoot camera -- makes the Mate 30 Pro is a total stand out compared to the other phones on the market.

As soon as he picks up the Mate 30 Pro for a call, everyone can tell that he's using the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro.

Horizon Display

Next, he brought up the horizon display of the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro. The phone has an immersive viewing experience, with its screen to body ratio of 88-degree. Because of that, the phone boasts a virtual volume key.

With the virtual volume key, he just needs to double tap the side of the phone and he could then adjust the volume accordingly.

One unique feature of this virtual volume key is that it helps with certain games such as 'PUBG Mobile', as it serves as additional ‘buttons’ to help you with the game.

Mobile Videography

After that, he talks about the mobile photography and videography that you can do on a HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro.

The camera is highly impressive and it offers a great amount of versatility with its four-camera set up, which serves a different set of functions.

Besides high quality photos, you can also shoot great looking videos even in low light conditions, as well as a very impressive 7680fps Ultra Slow Mo video.

Ultra-long Battery Life

Besides that, the phone comes with an impressive 4500mAh capacity battery, and coupled with the Super-Fast Charge Capability, you can charge your phone from 0 to 100 per cent in a short amount of time.

And best of all, you can even charge your friends' dying phones as it comes with a reverse charge function.

Here's a little bonus for you guys: when you purchase your HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro, you will get a wireless charger in the box as the phone supports wireless charging.

Multi-Screen Collaboration

As the Mate Series is the flagship for HUAWEI phones, it comes with a multi-screen collaboration, a function that is especially handy for a business person.

This function allows you to do tasks seamlessly between PC and smartphone, as long as they support HUAWEI’s EMUI 10 software.

As a content creator like Adam Lobo, the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro is an excellent choice for editing and video shooting, as it is hands down one of the best smartphones for videography.
