Pereka fesyen Rico Rinaldi mendapat inspirasi selepas menonton dokumentari di Netflix untuk menghasilkan koleksi terbaharu Women's Wear 2019.

Kata Rico, dokumentari mengisahkan tentang kesan 'fast fashion' terhadap alam semulajadi itu mencetuskan ilhamnya.

"Ini merupakan koleksi ketujuh saya dan inspirasi Rico Rinaldi Women's Wear 2019 adalah terjemahan daripada industri 'fast fashion' yang semakin berkembang.

"'Fast fashion' disifatkan sebagai satu industri yang memusnahkan alam semulajadi apabila pengguna mahukan produk yang murah dalam masa yang singkat.

"Jadi apabila wujud terlalu banyak persaingan antara pelbagai jenama, pengeluar akan mencari sumber alam semulajadi yang mudah dan menjimatkan.

"Kemudian, pengguna akan mudah untuk membeli dan melupuskan pakaian mereka dalam tempoh yang cepat dan kuantiti yang banyak.

"Kesannya berlaku pada alam semulajadi apabila ozon semakin menipis dan lapisan tanah dibanjiri dengan toksik. Sedih saya tengok alam semulajadi tercemar," kata Rico.

Koleksi Rico Rinaldi Women's Wear dipertontonkan kepada umum pada pertunjukan fesyen yang berlangsung di White Box, Publika malam tadi.

Sebanyak 30 rekaan disediakan dalam koleksi kali ini terdiri daripada blaus, skirt, seluar hingga dres labuh.

Rico menggunakan fabrik polos, ringan dan berasaskan organik seperti satin dan net serta cetakan motif floral tersendiri.

Manakala, warna hitam dan pudar seperti nude dan dusty grey menjadi pilihan koleksi ini.

Koleksi ini buat pertama kalinya menampilkan statement tee daripada Rico Rinaldi yang dijual dengan harga RM68.

Malah, bagi memudahkan pelanggan, koleksi Rico Rinaldi Women's Wear 2019 boleh dibeli menerusi laman web rasmi www.ricorinaldi.com selain di butik Rico Rinaldi di Bangi Sentral dan Plaza Damas serti Physicon Malaysia.

Before the show, I told the models this might be the last Women’s Collection fashion show after 7 solo shows just for this collection, not included another 7 solo shows for raya and some solo shows for bridal collection, most of them were shocked. But when I came out to take a bow, I still saw people who have been really supportive since day one and there are some who just started to know my label, so I told myself insyaAllah there’ll be another one yet keep telling myself doing solo show it was really tiring, really ?. . .
