Big Stage 2019: Not Surprised, Santesh Accepts Elimination With Open Heart.
Singer Santesh accepted his elimination from Big Stage 2019 with an open heart.
Knocked out on week six, Santesh said he understood the nature of a competition.
"Someone once told me, in life, we won't always be on top.
"At 31, I understand well today's results.
"This is just failing in a competition. In future, who knows if even my singles aren't received well by listeners. I'm pretty calm in accepting this results," he told Gempak.
Santesh was interviewed after Big Stage 2019's sixth-week concert at Auditorium Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam, Selangor.
The 'Amalina' singer also said that the number of his followers have increased since he joined the competition.
"After joining Big Stage, I noticed that my Instagram followers have increased to almost 300,00.
"I also realised that my name is being spoken by outsiders. I've also been receiving more invitations to perform but I've had to put that off for the time being.
"I need some time to rest with my family before resuming work," he added.
Eight contestants from Malaysia, Indonesia and South Korea performed at the concert.
Singer Dinda Permata was saved by permanent jury Judika, who used her power to grant immunity to a contestant.
Seven contestants will be returning next week to perform two songs - a duet and a 'Road to Final'-themed song.
In week six, Dayang Nurfaizah was invited as a guest judge to join permanent juries Datuk Siti Nurhaliza and Judika.
