The discount applies to all toll plazas nationwide for Class 1 private vehicles, as well as Class 2 vehicles using the Penang Bridge.
However, those planning to travel across the border during the festive period should note that the discount does not apply to border toll plazas. This includes the Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) toll plaza on the North-South Expressway and the Tanjung Kupang toll plaza on the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link.
Nanta said the initiative is intended to help reduce travel costs, particularly for Hindus returning to their hometowns or visiting family members to celebrate Deepavali.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys in advance to avoid congestion. They are also encouraged to ensure sufficient balance in their Touch 'n Go cards or eWallets, adhere to speed limits, maintain a safe following distance, and take regular breaks to prevent driver fatigue.
