The AC Cars Hatches New AC Cobra Series 4 — A 617hp/1,000Nm Electric Beast

It’s a shocking move for sure. The revived AC Cars have introduced what they called ‘the AC Superblower updated for a new world’ — aptly named AC Cobra Series 4-electric. Of course, this car won’t come cheap. The AC Cobra Series 4-electric is priced at GBP168,000, or RM900,397 at today’s exchange rate.

In place of the obnoxious V8 engine is an electric drivetrain that produces 617hp and 1,000Nm, capable of sending the sports car from zero to 100kph in 3.8 seconds. The Series 4-electric has a gross weight of less than 1,190kg, which does help the sports car achieve its remarkable performance.

Mind-blowing performance aside, the more impressive figure from this AC Cobra is its range of over 200 miles (322km) from 52kWH battery pack. As good as it sounds, would you spend money on a sports car that’s quiet and have no gears to shift?
