Although we think that you should be responsible for your own personal hygiene, Shell have taken extra precautions just in case. They’re not doing this just for the customers, the health of the station attendants are just as important.

The health of all site staff is monitored closely. Temperatures are taken before the start of every shift, are given face masks nitrile hand gloves and must comply with the social distancing rule. As such, markers will be placed in the stores and pay-window area.

As for the station, Shell has disinfected all high-touch areas in all 950 premises nationwide and will continuously do so at every hour. These high-touch points include petrol pumps, fuel nozzles, pin pads, dispenser air balancers, door handles, pay windows, cashier area, tissue dispensers, switches, taps and sinks, coffee machine touch screens, Deli2go countertops, pasty thongs and showcase handles. Also cleaned every hour are their restrooms while making sure water and soap are always available.

As for people who can’t get enough of Deli2go, Select and 3rd party food brands, you can either take away or have Shell deliver it to you.

And if you really want to be extra safe, sanitise your hands before touching your steering wheel and gear knob. Remember, a little bit goes a long way and you can’t be too careful. Having said that, the best thing you can do is #stayathome.
