Actor Matthew Mcconaughey Is Now A Professor At The University Of Texas
Talk about a career change.
Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey is set to become a professor at the University of Texas at Austin.
"It's the class I wish I would have had when I was in film school. Working in the classroom with these students gives me a chance to prepare them," McConaughey was quoted as saying.
Yes, McConaughey, who graduated from the same university, will be a professor of practice at the Moody College of Communication in the faculty of the Department of Radio-Television-Film.
According to a report by CNN, Mcconaughey, along with faculty member and director Scott Rice, has been co-teaching the Script to Screen film production class before this.
"It's the class I wish I would have had when I was in film school. Working in the classroom with these students gives me a chance to prepare them," McConaughey was quoted as saying.McConaughey has starred in many movies, including 'Serenity' and 'Gold' . He has also won numerous awards, including an Oscar for Best Actor for his role in 'Dallas Buyers Club' and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor (Drama) in the same movie.
One thing's for certain, if Matthew McConaughey was our lecturer, confirm we'll not be skipping any classes.
