Chadwick Boseman played one of the greatest superheroes we've seen in recent times and brought Wakanda to the world.

But he believes there are greater real-life heroes out there who don't necessarily come with superhuman abilities and powerful suits.

On Monday, the Black Panther star was named 'Best Hero' at the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards for his role in the Marvel film.

Boseman also won the 'Best Performance in a Movie' award.
Shortly after he went on stage to accept the award, he surprised 29-year-old James Shaw Jr. with a tribute to his recent heroic act.

In case you didn't know, Shaw was responsible for stopping the gunman during the deadly Waffle House shooting in Tennessee, Nashville back in April.

He was able to disarm the shooter without being armed himself.

Although the tragedy ended with four deaths, what Shaw did probably saved more lives that day.

"Receiving an award for playing a superhero is amazing, but it's even greater to acknowledge the heroes that we have in real life," Boseman said.

He later invited Shaw on stage and handed him the award.

"This is gonna live at your house," he said.

Here's to all the unsung heroes in the real world today!
