Queen Beyoncé Turns 35 and the World Rejoices

Yesterday was Beyoncé’s 35^th birthday, and although it isn’t an international holiday (well, it really should be), we want to celebrate this magnificent day that gave us Queen Bey. The brilliant megastar turned 35, making us all ponder and gaze in amazement at how much time has passed since we were first graced by Bey’s presence (for almost 20 years). Everything she touches somehow turns into gold!

The Lemonade songstress has proven that she has managed to cheat her way out of actually aging because she doesn’t look a day older than 27 and continues to prove that she’s #Flawless. The icon rang in her birthday with a star-studded celebration inspired by the classic television series Soul Train, which is all about disco, funk and hip hop – definitely would make for a fun and funky night!

Beyoncé being the woman she is gave back to her admiring fans on her birthday by posting a standalone Hold Up music video on YouTube. The video originally premiered as part of her new LP’s accompanying HBO/Tidal visual album, but she has now isolated the Best Female Video VMA-winning segment as an official upload online. At the VMAs Beyoncé performed a show-stealing 15-minute medley that showcased her Lemonade songs which included Formation, which took home Video of the Year. She won a total of eight awards at the 2016 ceremony.

The singer's Beyhive turned to social media on Sunday to help ignite the hashtag #HappyBirthdayBeyonce and everyone from Gladys Knight, Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey and Simone Biles chimed in to wish "Queen B" a very happy birthday!

The hashtag “HappyBirthdayBeyonce” began trending yesterday, with memes and gifs cropping up on Twitter as fans celebrated the accomplishments of one of the industry’s most prolific artists.
