A few hours later, rumours emerged that a series based on the film was being put together by HBO, with none other than Mark Ruffalo in it!

Entertainment magazine, Collider, reported that there hasn't been any official casting or even finished script for the series as yet - which essentially is a six-hour-long movie - but Ruffalo's name has been mentioned.

In January, The Wrap also reported about plans to make the limited series, with filmmaker Bong Joon-Ho collaborating with producer Adam McKay.

Bong was quoted as saying that there was a lot of material written for the 'Parasite' movie which could not be included in the two-hour-long show.

We're still not sure if Ruffalo will be a part of the series despite TMZ suggesting that the actor sounded 'amped' when asked about it.

All we could catch from the short clip was that Ruffalo would be "honoured to be in that", but hey, maybe TMZ concluded right, and the actor is just waiting for confirmation.
