Within just a few days after getting criticised for coming up with the ugliest version of Sonic the Hedgehog in its history, the director and studio has agreed to redesign the already re-designed blue hedgehog.

Thankfully, ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ director Jeff Fowler swiftly responded to the backlash via his Twitter account: “Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear... you aren't happy with the design & you want changes. It's going to happen.”

Yes, the best and as original as he should be, please, and not looking like a hedgehog-human toddler hybrid.
But kudos to the director for taking into account what fans think of the new Sonic and acting on it so swiftly.
And in case Paramount Pictures need an indication or a benchmark on what Sonic ideally should look like in the movie, they can take cues from a game developer artist by the name of Edward Pun, who attempted to redesign and make Sonic look more stylised:

The film is set to debut in theatres on 8 November, so they’ve got to get back to the drawing board ASAP because they’ve only got about six months left to redesign the whole movie.
And with not much time left means more costs will be incurred as they’ve probably started printing and producing merchandise for the movie.
