Not too long ago, rumours of the band of our (emo) youth, My Chemical Romance, are reuniting surfaced.

The news was further fueled by Joe Jonas when he shared that the band was rehearsing in a studio next to him in New York a few months back.

No one confirmed or denied anything, so fans were left in the dark once again.

But it seems that our six-year wait may have come to an end because My Chemical Romance has officially announced a reunion concert via their Instagram account.

Frontman Gerard Way also confirmed the news in an Instagram post with the caption "California 2019".

However, here's the bad news: the reunion gig is set to take place in the US for now, and there's no word if they will be embarking on a world tour.

The comeback concert is slated to take place on 20 December in Los Angeles. Tickets will be sold for USD149.50 (RM623.34).

Obviously, fans (including us) were not okay with the news, because they’re freaking out over the prospect of seeing their teen heroes on stage once again:

Well guys, time to bring out your eyeliners and emo outfits and pray that this is the beginning of something new for the band.

Who knows, along the way they might even do an Asian tour. *Fingers crossed*
