A man from China sang too much in a karaoke that he had to be hospitalized.

According to a report in New York Post quoting a report in South China Morning Post, the 65-year-old’s lung collapsed after he sang 10 songs in a row.

He got a little too enthusiastic


The report said the man, only known as Wang, strained to hit the high notes before succumbing to pain in his left side.

“I was very excited in the heat of the moment,” Wang was quoted as saying.

Wang explained that he selected some of the songs that he usually sings but after hitting a few “very high notes”, he suffered from breathing difficulties.

He later went back home and ignored the pain but had to go to the hospital the next day.

His doctor, Peng Bin-fei, said the injury was caused “high lung pressure” and adviced him to not sing for a period of over two hours in the future.
