That was exactly what happened to Indonesians who were getting vaccinated in Tuban, East Java on Aug 31.
According to a report in Buletin iNews, the unexpected incident caused panic and confusion in the vaccination centre where the process of giving jabs were temporarily halted.
The report said the crocodile had appeared from a sewer and some people even climbed into the sewer to calm the one-metre-long crocodile.
Luckily, the report, quoting a witness named Bagio, said the crocodile was captured and tied up.
No need to panic, just a pet
In a surprising turn of events, it was discovered that the crocodile was not a wild reptile but instead a 15-year-old boy’s pet.
The boy had apparently put up a 'missing pet' notice about a week ago, after his pet went missing.
Authorities has advised the boy to build a special enclosure for the creature and feed it regularly, so that it would not go looking for food elsewhere.
Why would anyone keep crocodiles as a pet, though?
