The night time forest hike attraction in Langkawi will open 1st May 2023 and will feature projection mapping technology.

The 1.2km walk in the night will see visitors walking amongst fairy tale legends of Langakawi like Mat Cincang, Mambang Sari, Merong Mahawangsa, Garuda, and Mat Teja to name a few.

There was no clear preview of what expect in Langkawi but from our understanding, there will be speakers hidden in the forest telling the tales of these legends and images of these characters willl be projection mapped onto the forest.

Visitors will walk from station to station listening to the stories and certain checkpoints will have activities for you to engage with the characters.

The land was leased from Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Kedah (PKNK) for the purposes of tourism and is located at the foot of Gunung Raya.

Dream Forest Book Village will house an events space, F&B and retail outlets selling specially curated Malaysian food and brands, a vintage bookshop van, as well as picnic spots. There will also be regularly curated cultural-based pocket performances of music, dance or poetry readings around the gardens or at the 120-seater Amphitheatre.

As a concept Dream Forest Langkawi is the first of its kind in Malaysia and Puan Sri Tiara envisions a Dream Forest in other locations around Malaysia as well.

With this format she hopes to tell more stories of Malaysian folklore to tourists while showing off our natural rainforests.
