When your birthday rolls around, you may be showered with gifts and food from your family and friends, but did you know that there are also many places that offer birthday perks that you can take advantage of?
Twitter user @QamarulQashroff recently compiled a list so read on to find out where you should hit up on your special day!
Boost Juice
For something that tastes a little less sinful yet yummy, sign up for their Vibe Club for a free original-sized cup of Boost! Download their app on Apple’s App Store or on Google’s Play Store as part of their loyalty program and verify your account after receiving an email from them.
To redeem it, on your birthday, just head to your local store with proof of birth date — your NRIC or passport.
Redemption: Only available on the day or two days before and two days after your birthday.
Inside Scoop
Those with a sweet tooth can simply register as a member here and redeem a single scoop of ice cream. It’s that simple!

Family Mart
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Download the Family Mart app and get a free sofuto ice cream cone of the flavour of your choice. Become a member and redeem your birthday reward from the Rewards tab.

KFC
We won’t say no to some kepci! Download their app and update your date on birth at the ‘My Account’ section. Simply wait for their email during your birthday month to enjoy a two-piece combo. Yum! Also, make sure to update your details a month before your birthday to be eligible for the birthday treat.

Starbucks
We’d all have a bit more money in our bank if we stopped splurging on expensive coffee, right?
Make sure to join Starbucks Rewards at least seven prior to your birthday, update your birthday on your account, and made at least one Star-earning transaction prior to your birthday each year. Doesn’t sound too hard, right? Most of us visit the chain at least once a year. This will entitle you to redeem one of almost anything on the menu, just check with their baristas first.

Zoo Negara
Lions & tigers & bears, oh my! If you’ve had your fill of food, perhaps it’s time to head to the zoo for a fun outing. Just bring along your NRIC for verification and present it at the ticket counter to enter the Zoo for FREE. If you have any children below the age of three, entrance is free for them too.
