Wood fired oven pizzas are usually reserved for fancy Italian restaurants in KL, but recently we were fortunate enough to try some pizzas in a kampung. Kampung Desa Jemapoh to be exact.

Jemapoh Pizza Kayu Api rose to prominence on social media during the lockdown and just like Internet Explorer, we were slow to catch up to the craze.

Since 2020, they've opened branches in Semenyih, Nilai, Gombak, Kampung Giching, Sepang, and Seksyen 19 Shah Alm, but we managed to head down to Negeri Sembilan's original location for an authentic experience.

The restaurant is located just behind the owner's house in their backyard with traditional seating and make shift tables.
