Renewing your passport, renewing your road tax, and your driving licence –– it seems like there are so many documentations to take care of, right? Did you know that you can also apply for a replacement for your MyKad with just a phone call? You only need to head to Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN) to pick up your completed identification card (I.C.) and save a lot of time in the process!

Regulation 13 of the National Registration Regulations 1990 (Amendment 2007) states that any person whose identity card is damaged or destroyed shall immediately apply for a replacement identity card. So don’t delay in carrying this step out!

Which replacement services are available?

Via Phone Call

This applies to Malaysians who are applying to replace their old or damaged MyKad and do not need to change their photograph or particulars.

Operation hours:

Mondays to Fridays from 8 am to 4.30 pm

Break times:

Mondays to Thursdays from 1 pm to 2 pm

Friday from 12.45 pm to 2.15 pm
