No thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of events and programmes have made their way online.

Undeterred, a group of Catholics has decided to bring their large-scale choir online too.

Spreading some Christmas cheer

The Catholics at Home (CAH) recently brought some Christmas cheer to Malaysians by organising a virtual choir over the weekend.

Touted as ‘Malaysia's Largest Ever Catholic Virtual Choir’, the event involved more than 500 people, the New Straits Times reported.

The performance included a medley of Christmas favourites such as "Angels We Have Heard on High", "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "Hark The Herald Angels Sing".

As if the performance wasn't impressive enough, the group performed the songs in six different languages, including the sign language!

Great work, you guys!
CAH podcast team member Reverend Father Clarence Devadass told the daily that assembling a choir of this magnitude was not easy.

It took two weeks for the CAH team to compile submissions for the performance which premiered on 19 December, Father Clarence revealed.

The submissions were accepted in multiple languages including in English, Mandarin, Chinese, Tamil, BM, Kadazan, and Iban.

Well done, you guys! Merry Christmas to all of you!
