We have so many talented Malaysians who are constantly making the country proud on the international stage.
The latest one comes in a form of a bottle.

Time to celebrate

Award-winning whisky. A Malaysian whisky brand is now the talk of the world when it won a silver medal at the annual San Francisco World Spirits Competition which took place earlier this year.
According to Malay Mail, the Timah Double Peated Blended Whiskey, which happens to be the country’s first double peated blended whiskey, competed in the 'Other Whisk(e)y' category, which is opened to non-traditional whiskey-producing regions.
Timah won the silver medal because it shows "refinement, finesse, and complexity".
With the win, Timah also made history, as it became the first ever Malaysian-produced whisky to ever win an award at the spirits event.
That's not too shabby.
Very well deserved. The producer of the Timah whiskey, Winepak Corporation, told the news portal that "the blend is matured over eight years and boasts a gentle tropical peatiness with subtle verdant flavours and light fruity notes".
Following their win, Winepak said they are planning to market Timah -- which features an image of Captain Tristram Speedy, the famed 19th-century explorer who was responsible for naming Malaysia’s oldest town Taiping and restoring order in the Perak mining district after a series of wars -- to the US and the rest of the world.
Malaysians, meanwhile, have clearly taken notice of Timah after its victory at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
According to a Facebook post, Winepak Corporation said the Timah whiskey is now out of stock.
"Firstly, we would like to sincerely express our gratitude for the great support.
Unfortunately, it is a great regret to inform you that our latest product, Timah Whiskey, is temporarily out of stock at the moment and we are currently working on to restock the item as soon as possible," Winepak said in the post.
However, Winepak assured that they would have the item back in stock by the end of August, so all you gotta do is wait a little while, 'kay?

Double burrah

Wow, we definitely need to try this. But that's not the end of the good news, though.
Another Malaysian-made product, the D50 Musang King Durian Liqueur from Perak, was awarded the bronze medal in the 'Fruit Liqueur' category.
Who knew Malaysia could produce so many award-winning liquer, kan?
