This Secret Military Technique Will Help You Fall Asleep In Two Minutes

While there are those of you out there who could fall asleep the moment you shut your eyes, there are also some poor souls out there who would toss and turn in bed for a couple of hours before eventually falling asleep.Don't worry, sleepless people; we know how that feels. Sometimes, it's just hard to turn off your brain.
In fact, according to this infographic, nine out of ten Malaysians suffer from some sort of sleep problems, and 66 per cent face sleepless nights at least once a week.

A secret military technique that is said to help normal people like you and us fall asleep in two minutes has just been revealed.
Yep, you read that right: two minutes!

The technique recently became popular after UK website JOE published it online.
So, what is this technique?
OK, they did not give this technique a name, but we're just gonna call it 'Sleep Fast & Furious'.According to legends, this technique was supposedly developed by army chiefs to help soldiers and pilots get some shut eye in less than peaceful conditions, like in a battlefield, for example.

And apparently, this technique yields a 96 per cent success rate after just six weeks of practice!
How do you do it?
This method is essentially broken down into two steps, JOE wrote: one, you have to release all the tension in your body and two, blank your mind.The entire process takes up to a minute and a half (this doesn't include in the two minutes it takes to fall asleep).
Here's what you need to do:
Before you know it, you would be fast asleep.
- Step 1: Relax the muscles in your face, including tongue, jaw and the muscles around the eyes
- Step 2: Drop your shoulders as low as they’ll go. Then, relax your upper and lower arm on one side, and then the other
- Step 3: Breathe out, and relax your chest, followed by your legs, starting from your thigh and then your calves
- Step 4: Spend about ten seconds to clear your mind before thinking about one of the following three mental images:
- Snuggled in a black velvet hammock in a pitch-black room
- Lying in a canoe on a calm lake, nothing but blue sky above you.
- Saying “don’t think, don’t think, don’t think” over and over for ten seconds

However, as mentioned above, it takes up to six weeks of practice, so if you still can't fall asleep tonight, you just need to try and try again.
