Some of you may experience delays of up to a week or two, some even months.
But are you willing to wait for a longer period of time, say, eight years?
This was the case for a Canadian man who ordered something online in 2012.
He even forgot about it
According to the Toronto Sun, Elliot Berinstein recently posted on Reddit that he received a parcel on 6 May for an item she don't recall ordering.
The parcel turned out to be a tube of Brylcream hair gel...and an invoice dating back to 2012.
“Upon opening the package i realized it was a tube of Brylcream I ordered in 2012. The contents of the tube is yellow and I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be white,” Berinstein wrote on Reddit.
“My theory it was sitting at Canada post and they finally decided to deliver it after eight years.”
The 29-year-old told the Toronto Sun that he started laughing when he realised what had happened.
“I think it probably got misplaced somewhere, maybe in one of the mail sorting rooms and was off to the side and no one ever looked for it,” he said.
“Maybe they’re trying to reorganize things with the whole COVID pandemic, so someone finally saw it.”
The doctor also didn’t follow up with Canada Post to see what happened to his parcel, as his hair cream was only $5 (RM15.78) and he was testing out different products at the time.
Canada Post has responded to the issue and said they are investigating the unique case while the online platform Elliot shopped at, Well.ca, has sent him a box of goodies as a replacement for his eight-year wait.
