Long-jump athlete, Abdul Latif Romly, added another gold to Malaysia's medal count at the Rio Paralympics's Men's Long Jump T20 (Intellectual Disability) event.

The 19-year-old Perlis lad came in tops with his 7.60m jump, besting Croatia's Zoran Talic (7.12m) and Ukraine's Dymtro Prudnikov (6.99m). And oh, he broke the world record, too!

In case you missed it, relive the proud moment in this video:

Before the Rio Paralympics, Abdul Latif was already a gold medal winner at the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha, in which he set a new championship record of 7.35m. At the Malaysia Para Games held in Sarawak earlier this year, he bested his own record, taking it to an impressive 7.46m.

This is Abdul Latif's first Paralympics, and he now joins the ranks of track star Mohd Ridzuan Mohd Puzi and shot putter Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli as Malaysia's gold medal winners at the Rio Paralympics 2016.
