Navigating your way during a trip has been made easier nowadays, thanks to all sorts of apps that are available with just a tap of your finger.

In Malaysia, the two most common traffic navigation apps used are Waze and Google Maps.

We’ve heard stories of how Waze sometimes lead you to the wrong location, which may end up being creepy and dangerous, and how Google Maps can be not so user friendly.

Having said that, do you guys know which one Malaysians enjoy using the most?

An online portal, Wiser.my, recently conducted a Facebook survey to find out which app is better and should be used by Malaysians.

The study revealed that 65 per cent of Malaysians actually prefer using Google maps, while only 35 per cent enjoy using Waze.

The poll has been voted over 45,000 times to date.

In the comments section, many Malaysians shared their horror stories using Waze, including one Facebook user who jokingly commented “Waze ni bagus, kalau jalan jem, dia bawa kita ke hutan atau tasik untuk kita tenangkan fikiran....” (Waze is good to use, if there’s a traffic jam, it’ll bring us to the forest or lake to unwind…”).

Others commented that they prefer Google Maps as it is more reliable.

This is why admin prefers using Waze.
Although many pointed out that Google Maps does not have real-time updates on roadblocks, accidents, road hazards, and many more, apparently most Malaysians still prefer using the app.

Perhaps, they’ve had enough nightmares using Waze?

So, which app do you prefer using?
