Four days into the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Malaysia has finally won its first medal.

Diving queens Leong Mun Yee and Pandelela Rinong secured the country's first medal at the Olympics in the Women's Synchronised 10m Platform event.

The pair scored 50.40 in their first dive, 49.80 in their second dive, 54.90 in their third dive, 64.32 in their fourth dive and in their last dive.

Leong and Pandelela held the second spot after their first dive, just behind the Chinese pair of Chen Yu Xi and Zhang Jiaqi, but dropped to third after their second dive.

The pair fell to seventh in their third dive.
