The increased quota was introduced after considering appeals from drivers and fuel usage data submitted by e-hailing service providers.
The newly raised quota is also said to include airport taxis.

According to a report by Malay Mail, the Finance Ministry has also announced new tiered monthly quotas under the BUDI95 initiative for full-time e-hailing drivers.
The new tiered quotas are as follows:
- 300 litres for drivers with monthly mileage below 2,000 km
- 800 litres for drivers with monthly mileage exceeding 5,000 km
For context, this marks the second increase in the BUDI95 quota for e-hailing drivers this year.
Back on 13 October, the government had already raised the RON95 quota from 300 litres per month to 600 litres, benefiting nearly 58,000 e-hailing drivers.
Anwar also noted that only 0.7% of BUDI95 recipients exceed the 300-litre monthly quota, with the majority using an average of 98 litres (33%) per month.
