Govt Announces 50% Toll Discount for Hari Raya on March 28 & 29

In conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, which is less than a week away, the Malaysian government has announced a 50% discount on toll rates from March 28 to 29.

According to the report, the toll discount will be implemented from 12:01 am on March 28 (Friday) until 11:59 pm on March 29 (Saturday).

The toll discount applies to only Class 1 private vehicles at all toll plazas, except at the border toll plazas, namely Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) Toll on the North-South Motorway (PLUS) and Tanjung Kupang Toll Plaza on the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link Motorway (Linkedua).

Work Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the toll discount would cost the government an estimated RM19.69 million in compensation payments to all toll concessionaires.

“This initiative continues the festival toll relief programme introduced by the government in 2023 for all four major festive seasons in Peninsular Malaysia."

All highway users are encouraged to take full advantage of this toll discount and plan their journeys wisely to avoid traffic congestion during this long holiday,” said Nanta Linggi.
