The search operation for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 will resume on 30 December after the government recently finalised an agreement with Ocean Infinity to continue the deep-sea mission in the southern Indian Ocean.
The Ministry of Transport announced that the US-based company will conduct a 55-day phased search, covering zones identified as having the highest potential to locate the aircraft wreckage.
“Ocean Infinity has confirmed to the Malaysian Government that it will restart the deep-sea search operation for 55 days, which will be carried out intermittently,” the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry added that this development demonstrates the government’s commitment to providing closure and relief to the families affected by this tragedy.

This latest search mission is described as a crucial step toward ending the long wait for the victims’ families, after the disappearance of the aircraft in 2014 became one of the most mysterious aviation incidents in history.
MH370, carrying 239 passengers and crew, vanished from radar while en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on 8 March, 2014.
