Health DG: Don’t Skip Your Children’s Immunisation Needs During The MCO
Sure, it is definitely harder to move around during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, but that doesn't mean that you should skip your kids' immunisation needs.
Doing so would be extremely harmful to your babies.
The Star Online quoted Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah as saying that babies and young children should be immunised according to schedule despite the prolonged MCO period.

The Star Online quoted Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah as saying that babies and young children should be immunised according to schedule despite the prolonged MCO period.He said this is because a delay in immunisation could expose babies to risks of measles, polio and other vaccine-preventable diseases.
"This could lead to fatal outcomes if not contained," he said, warning that the world had recorded the emergence of vaccine-preventable diseases such as polio in the past few years.
To date, Malaysia has recorded a total of four confirmed polio cases and two polio-compatible cases that met the clinical criteria of the polio disease, the first polio cases in 27 years.
He added that parents who are stranded elsewhere during the MCO should take their kids to the nearest health facilities for the immunisation.According to Dr Noor Hisham, immunisation services are still available as usual at all health facilities, so there's no reason for parents to not follow their immunisation schedule.
So, for your childs' sake, please bring them to the clinic to have them immunised.
