Kuala Lumpur Immigration Director, Wan Mohammed Saupee Wan Yusoff, said the raids were conducted simultaneously with the involvement of 44 officers and personnel from the operations sector and enforcement division of JIM Kuala Lumpur.
According to him, the action was the result of two months of intelligence gathering by the Special Tactical Unit (PASTAK) before successfully dismantling both centres believed to be offering beauty procedures and plastic surgeries illegally.
“At the first location, five women were detained, involving one local and four Vietnamese nationals, while two local workers were issued witness summonses."
“The second raid detained four women consisting of three Vietnamese nationals and one local,” he said in a statement.
