Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar became Malaysia 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong

On 31st January 2024, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar began his reign as Malaysia's new king.
His Majesty was elected through the Special 263rd Meeting of the Conference of Rulers last year. He will rule for five years, taking over from Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim launches PADU

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim launched the Central Database Hub (PADU) to ensure the efficient delivery of targeted subsidies.
Padu is also said to ensure a fairer distribution of subsidies. According to Anwar, if the delivery of subsidies was not digitised in this way, the affluent would benefit the most.
Ridzman Zidaine became the first Malaysian model to walk for LV at Paris Fashion Week

In November 2023, Ridzman Zidaine made history by becoming the first Malaysian model to open for a famous luxury brand, Louis Vuitton.
This year, the 23-year-old made headlines again for being the first Malaysian model to walk the Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2024 runway at the prestigious Paris Fashion Week.
