The decision to not impose mandatory quarantine for returnees from Sabah didn’t sit well with Malaysians as many politicians who flew there for their election campaign came back COVID-19 positive.
On Thursday (1 October), the Ministry of Health announced that 260 new COVID-19 cases have been reported and today, the numbers have surged to 287 cases; making it the highest number of cases reported since the outbreak.
Netizens were left fuming and upset at these figures as a huge chunk of it were either in Sabah or those returning from the Land Below the Wind.
Some voiced their dissatisfaction as action was taken quite late at this stage while others blamed politicians and minister who impose such ruling and refuse to self-quarantine for 14 days.
This caused the hashtags #KlusterMenteri and #KlusterAhliPolitik to trend on Twitter.

Satu Malaysia terkesan.
Double standards!
Kalau PKP,
Mereka cuti,
Rakyat dicutikan selama lamanya dari berkerja.
Pak2 menteri & ahli2 politik sekalian, mohon jangan jadi ketam ajar anak berjalan.

Kalau anda tak mampu menggalas amanah, jangan bebankan rakyat dgn sifat tidak bertanggungjawap anda.
Berapa hari dah PKPP? Berapa ramai orang pergi vacay? Berapa tenang orang pergi groceries? Tiba2 seminggu je korang pergi kempen. Back to square 1.

Let's be perfectly clear.
This is NOT on the rakyat.
This is on PN. Their #KlusterMenteri that came from their unnecessary politicking in Sabah.
This is 100% on them.
We had clusters before Sabah, but they were manageable. Now though...... https://t.co/4XueZ8zMNV
Call whatever it is, we know the uprising cases in Semenanjung are from #KlusterMenteri #PoliticiansPuncaVirus . https://t.co/atJWpJiopq

It seems that the war against COVID-19 is far from over. We have to work together once again to help flatten the curve.
Always wear a facemask correctly whenever you're out, maintain social distancing, and frequently sanitise or wash your hands. Try to not leave the house unless it's necessary.
