Looks like the authorities are real serious about keeping people at home during this Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

The Drone Unit of the Air Operation Team of the police force and the military have been monitoring several spots in the Klang Valley, especially those identified as 'red zones', to ensure people follow the movement restriction.

When the drone monitoring was first introduced on 24 March, it was only done during the day, but now the authorities will be monitoring the situation at night as well.

If you decide to go against the MCO, don't be surprised if you hear a pre-recorded voice scolding you for it or giving you advice on social distancing.

According to a report published on Malaysia Kini, the police drones are equipped with heat sensors and speakers that can disseminate messages in three languages - Malay, Mandarin and Tamil.

Just to make sure as many people as possible understand what the authorities have to say, we reckon.

Right now, there are 10 drones in operation and has been deployed to several areas including the Selayang Wholesale Market, Keramat Market, Chow Kit and Little India in Brickfields.
