It was a glorious Thursday for Malaysians as the national hockey team scored an upset over world number six India in a dramatic 3-2 win at the ongoing Hockey World League in London.

Not only that, the win automatically qualifies them for the 2018 Hockey World Cup championships. Congratulations, boys!

You guys are the best!
In the nail-biting match, Muhammad Razie Abdul Rahim drew first blood when he scored in the 19th minute, before Tengku Ahmad Tajuddin Tengku Abdul Jalil doubled the lead in the 20th minute.

Despite being 2-0 down, India did not back down as they scored two quick goals to level the match up. Muhammad Razie then won it for the nation when he scored off a penalty corner in the 48th minute.

According to The Star, history was made as this was the first time Malaysia reached the semi-final leg of the Hockey World League.

The national team will battle it out to the finals against World No.1 and Olympic champions Argentina in the semis this Saturday.

Malaysia is currently ranked 14th in the world.

“It is a dream to qualify for the World Cup. It is even more sweet that we beat India to achieve it,” said the national squad coach, Stephen Van Huizen to the New Straits Times.

We wish our national team all the best and hopefully, they'll go all the way. Malaysia Boleh!
