If this happens, it could be Tun Dr Mahathir's greatest ever achievement.

Ever since being installed as the seventh Prime Minister, Dr M has been on a roll.

From making these items look cool again to being the ultimate #RelationshipGoals example, Malaysians can't seem to get enough of Dr M.

So, local netizens have decided to start a movement to help the 92-year-old premiere win the Nobel Peace Prize.

A Change.org online petition was created on Saturday lobbying for Dr M to be nominated for the prestigious award - and it's gaining steam on social media.

The petition, titled 'Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize 2018', has so far collected more than 85,000 signatures in less than two days.

Give him the award, please!
Addressed to the Nobel Foundation, the petition wants the Foundation to recognise Dr M for "his determination at age 93 to return to politics" to help "save the nation".

"The fact that Tun Dr Mahathir has also openly admitted his own faults and apologised for his mistakes of the past makes him truly a 'Giant of a Man' and a leader to emulate," the petition read.

The petition also pointed out how Dr M inspired millions of voters to stand up and make their voices heard.

The millions inspired.
While it would be great if Dr M gets nominated for the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize, it may be a case of too little too late.

According to the official Nobel Prize website, the deadline for submission of nominations was in February, with the shortlisting of the finalists done in March.

In October, the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates will be chosen and they will receive their prizes in December in Oslo, Norway.

Please give him a chance. However, just like how we never thought there would be a new government, who knows that the Nobel Foundation would make an exception for Dr M, right?

You can sign the petition here and let's cross our fingers that the Nobel Foundation would hear our voices.
