Men's Badminton Doubles Pair Brings Home Silver

National doubles pair Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong conceeded to China's Zhang Nan and Fu Haifeng in a three-set match, 21-16, 11-21, 22-20. This is China's second consecutive gold in the men's doubles event and Zhang Nan's first gold with Fu Haifeng. Fu Haifeng previously struck gold in the 2012 London Olympics with his regular partner Cai Yun.

This is the first ever medal for our national doubles shuttlers in an Olympic event and is also their first ever Olympic outing.
