M'sian Throws Tantrum & Flips Penang Hawker’s Wok After Allegedly Being Ignored
How angry do you have to be to attack someone over a simple miscommunication?
One man took his anger to the next level by flipping a wok used by a roadside hawker, claiming his question had been ignored.
In a now-viral video, the incident occurred at a roadside char koay teow stall in Penang. Allegedly, the man, who was a customer, became angry when his question about which plate of char koay teow was his went unanswered.

Instead of waiting his turn like the other customers, the man began shouting at one of the two hawkers running the stall. At one point, he was even seen slapping one of them in anger.
When the hawker warned him that the police would be called, the customer didn’t back down. Instead, he challenged the hawkers further.
Escalating the situation, he then flipped the hawker’s wok in front of stunned onlookers.
Police report filed, but both parties reconciled
Following the incident, a police report was lodged. The customer later apologised to the hawkers. Since there were no injuries or losses, the hawkers chose not to pursue the matter and forgave him.
However, many social media users felt the hawkers should have let the police handle the situation. Others condemned the man’s reckless behaviour.
