According to reports, the incident occurred at around 9:30 PM on Saturday (5 September) at a home in Taman Desa Sejahtera, Kota Tinggi.
Kota Tinggi District Police Chief Superintendent Yusof Othman said police received information from members of the public after the victim, a woman in her 70s, was found bleeding inside her house.
Police later arrested the suspect, who is also the victim's husband. It is understood that the man, who is in his 70s, was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
