Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Malaysians have come up with many initiatives to help our frontliners.
More and more people want to show their appreciation for the national heroes working hard to fight the virus.
Recently, Abdul Ghafur, a cobbler, took to Twitter to offer free shoe-mending services for frontliners.
He said that he didn't know how (else) to help, so this was the least he could do:
For nurses, doctors, police, basically frontliners in MELAKA, I won’t charge you any for stitching service during RMO.

Outside Melaka, you just have to pay for courier service.
Idk how to help so this is the least I could do. THANKS! https://t.co/FaXgbgbaA1 pic.twitter.com/DAff1QSKhs
He is not charging anything for stitching of shoes for those in Melaka, and only charging for postage for those living outside the city.
Many commended his efforts, some even calling him a hero.
Another hero ?? https://t.co/y27k63ZaB4

Wow! You’re the man. You are a hero.
Operating from home
He has also moved his business to his home, so if anyone needs their shoes fixed urgently, you can contact him.
HI GUYS.

I fix shoes for a living but I can’t operate at my shop rn due to RMO. So I brought my tools and do it at home.
I’m taking orders online now but only shoes that need stitching.
I understand everyone’s saving so I give a discount.
If you’d be so kind, please RT. TYVM ? pic.twitter.com/ZOBS2QGbCC
Readers, you too can be a hero.
