If the General Elections are held on March 2017, you have until 30th September 2016 to register as a voter.

There's no official word from the Election Commission regarding the date of the 14th General Elections, but the General Elections must be held before 24 August 2018. Either way, register to vote right now or you'll see a rise in GST, toll rates, airport tax rates, petrol rates, oxygen rates, employee tax rates, and basically any kind of rates you can think of.

As there are only two days to go, we suggest you head to the nearest post office to register as a voter. All you have to do is:

1. Bring your IC to the post office.
2. Fill up Form A, or say to the person at the counter "Nak register untuk vote."
3. Check your voter status at http://daftarj.spr.gov.my/ with your IC number OR SMS "SPRSEMAKIC Number (no spaces)" and send it to 15888.

Google constantly flags that website for malware but we're pretty sure it's safe. The site is also pretty broken and it might take awhile for you to confirm your registration.
