That's because the Road Transport Department (JPJ) will not be giving anymore leeway moving forward.

JPJ has reminded Malaysians to renew their expired driving licence and road tax by 30 September, or face a fine.In a statement quoted by automotive site Paultan.org, JPJ said that the moratorium will not be extended after the date.
To make sure that road users stick to the deadline, the authorities will begin conducting checks on vehicles beginning 1 October.
According to JPJ, those whose road tax has expired must possess a valid insurance cover, and motorists are advised to print out a copy of their insurance e-cover note and keep it in their car so that they could show the authorities when they are asked to.
On 1 June, the government announced that road users with their driving license, LKM or vocational license (PSV/GDL) expiring between 1 June to 31 July will be given an automatic extension to renew the documents before 30 September.

With all the restrictions in place due to the full movement control order (FMCO), JPJ has advised Malaysians to renew their documents online, either through their MySikap website or through MyEG.You can still renew the documents at JPJ counters, but you must first make an appointment. On top of that, JPJ will be working with Pos Malaysia to ensure that renewals can be done at all its 650-plus branches nationwide starting from 9 August.
