The 2019 World Para Athletics Championships is currently in full swing in Dubai, and Ridzuan managed to bag a medal for the Malaysian camp through the Men’s 100m T36 category.
Ridzuan clocked in 11.97s, and placed third behind Australia’s James Turner (11.72s) and China’s Yifei Yang (11.79s).
Watching the event will give you all sorts of feels (and adrenaline rush!) as it was quite a close, heated race among the top three runners.

Prior to the two medals, Sabahan Wong Kar Gee was the first Malaysian to contribute a medal to #TeamMalaysia with a silver medal via the Men's Long Jump T12 category with a jump of 7.06m.
Malaysia sent 11 athletes to the World Para Athletics Championships and we are currently in the 38th spot overall. China leads the ranking with a total of 24 medals.
The World Para Athletics Championships is happening from the 7 to 15 November.
All the best to team Malaysia!
