The Tourism Ministry Wants To Fly You To Bum Bum Island For An Underwater Photography Competition
Consider yourself as an awesome photographer? Don't just talk, show it by joining this competition.
The Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry is organising an underwater photography competition called the '2019 Sabah Underwater Photography Festival (Macro edition)', to promote Bum Bum Island, which is located in Sabah.
“The objective of the competition is to introduce Bum Bum island as the first dedicated macro dive site in Malaysia and also to diversify diving activities.
“Besides that, it is also a preparation (for Sabah) to usher the 2020 Visit Malaysia Year,” said the ministry’s state director Ag Ahmad Zaki Abu Bakar.
Free holiday to Bum Bum Island? Yes, please! For your hard work, you'll get to bring home some pretty interesting prizes. The top three winners will walk away with a SeaLife Macro 2.0 64GB with Sea Dragon 2500 underwater camera, an Atmos Mission One Dive Computer and a Weefine Smart Snoot Focus WF069 underwater torch respectively.
There will also be 10 consolation prizes.
The best part is, the competition, which will be held between 19 and 22 September, has no entry fee and all expenses (including land and sea transportation, food and accommodation) will be borne by the organisers.
Interested? You can drop an email to [email protected] to get your contest entry form, which should be submitted before 9 September.
