University Lecturer Turns to Facebook Looking for A Potential Wife

A local university lecturer was not expecting the kind of response he received when he posted a status on Facebook in search for a potential wife. Dr Mohd Ariff Ahmad Nazri, who lectures at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia’s Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, wrote a list of qualities he was looking for in his future wife, which included plans to pursue a PhD, good ironing skills, independent, and good personality.
 
To Mohd Ariff’s surprise, the post went viral and was shared more than 900 times, gathering over 1,500 likes! His Facebook inbox was also flooded with messages from thousands of suitors, who wish to stand a chance. He had to temporarily deactivate his social media account due to the overwhelming response.
 
The 32-year-old bachelor explained that he didn’t mean any offense with the criteria he had listed down. As the eldest child in the family, he was often pressured to get married. Hence, he decided to turn to Facebook to look for love.
