As Malaysians are reeling from the 'once in 100 years' floods, emotions are still running high as those affected by the floods are attempting to put their lives back together.

One woman, however, won praises from netizens for her courage in speaking her mind.

'Why did the government agencies only come in the morning?'

A video of the woman, believed to be a flood victim in Hulu Langat, blasting a government minister for failing to react to the floods in time has gone viral on social media.

In the two-minute, 20-second video, the woman can be seen venting her frustrations to former MKN Selangor Chairman Tan Sri Noh Omar.

The woman blasted the minister, saying that the government agencies were nowhere to be found during the first day of the floods.

When Noh asked the woman if she called the Fire Department, she said the residents called the government agencies but none of them showed up.

"We phoned government agencies, no action was taken in our time in critical condition, none of the government agencies came to help us, why did the government agencies only come in the morning at a time when the water has receeded?," the woman can be heard telling Noh.

When help finally came in the form of the Civil Defense Department (JPAM), they didn't have enough boats to evacuate all the stranded residents in the area.

"Of course, Tan Sri, three boats are not enough to help all the residents of Hulu Langat, this is common sense right? Tan Sri? Where did our army go? In 2014, I was also one of the flood victims involved, the water was only at thigh level, but the army was there to help us," the woman said.

The woman said thankfully, three Indonesians risked their lives to row a boat to the scene and help rescue some of the residents who were trapped on the roof of their homes.

“If Tan Sri wants to know, only Indonesians helped us. Three of them rowed a boat to save the child of a lady who was trapped on the roof of a house, from midnight until 4.30am, perhaps 5.30am.

“Indonesians helped us. Where were the government agencies at that time?,” she asked Noh, who could only listen and nod his head in attention.
