Watch Elon Musk Launch His Own Tesla Roadster Into Space

To infinity and beyond!

We humans have always dreamt of stepping foot on Mars, but something will probably beat us to it: a US$109,000 (RM426,680) sportscar.
Real-life Tony Stark, Elon Musk, on Wednesday launched his own personal Tesla Roadster into space.
According to a report by The Verge, the stunt was part of SpaceX's mission to launch its heaviest rocket, the Falcon Heavy, into space.
We have liftoff! Falcon Heavy, now known as the world's most powerful rocket, blasted off from Cape Canaveral in Florida, USA.
The rocket's launch created history as it marked the first time a commercial company like SpaceX launch a vehicle of this size into orbit.
To make Falcon Heavy's maiden voyage more memorable, the 46-year-old Musk has decided to attach his own personal sports car on the rocket's upper stage as payload.
He's going on an adventure! According to Space.com, the Roadster -- together with its 'driver', a dummy named Starman -- is making its way to Mars.
Musk, the founder of both Tesla and SpaceX, told the website that the red sportscar was blasting David Bowie's "Life on Mars" as it travels through the solar system.
Starman and the Roadster will coast for approximately six hours through the Van Allen radiation belts - a zone with a huge amount of energetic charged particles located just above our planet - and if it comes out unharmed, the rocket will fire one more time to push the Tesla towards Mars.
And the good news is, you can watch the whole launch in Starman's perspective below:
(The video was actually a live stream of Starman's journey, but it somehow ended four hours into the launch)
Ahh, what a time to be alive!
